Emergency Maintenance 02/17/2012

Dear all,

My name is Jooyoung C., and I am the Producer for Rappelz in the US region.

I would like to apologize to you all for the issue that we are currently facing. Unfortunately, Rappelz suffered from an item duplication issue which could have potentially been harmful for the game and our community. Some players have already exploited this issue - these accounts will be banned pending further investigation.

The issue appeared with the latest update, and all publishers who pushed this update live were affected. We assessed the situation and had to make the difficult decision of temporarily taking down the servers.

GalaLab, our development studio, was contacted immediately and was asked to take immediate action.

The good news is there will be no server rollback. GalaLab has determined who duplicated items, what items were duplicated, and how many were duplicated. These illicit items will be removed from the game. The Korean servers are currently going through testing in order to fix the issue. Once the issue is verified to be fixed, other territories will follow.

To show our gratitude for your patience and support during this tough time, we will be compensating you all as follows :

Patch Notes 2/15/2012

The Vulcanus dungeon has been temporarily disabled.
Empty creature cards placed in the warehouse now show the correct icon.
Players are no longer allowed to ruthlessly murder one another in the city of Katan.
Resetting your skills now displays the change properly when your skill tree is open.
The monster "Frostfur Marduka Elder" now properly uses skills.
The "View equippable items only" option in the auction house has been corrected.
Large amounts of MP will no longer appear as negative numbers.

Server Slogan Contest 2012

It's that time again - express your creativity and design a new slogan and banner for our servers! There will be two phases to this event:

In Phase 1, we will be taking slogan ideas for each server! You may submit as many slogans as you like for any number of servers. Click here to go to the forum topic and submit your ideas!

In Phase 2, the winning slogans will be used to guide banner creation! Once the perfect banner has been found for each server, they will be uploaded to the server select screen!

Schedule:

Phase 1 (Slogan Design): Feb 9 - Feb 17

Phase 2 (Banner Design): Feb 20 - Mar 2

Rules:

- All submissions must obey all forum rules

- Banners must be 450 x 150 Pixels and JPEG format

- Banners must be relevant to the slogan, and must include the full text of the slogan

- Banners must be original pieces of work but may contain non-original elements

- You may make any number of submissions for slogans and/or banners.

There will be prizes for the winners! These prizes will be announced during the course of the contest.
